Vietnam Men of War Review, Brain Drain Game Strategies and Testing your patience

After the success of a strategy game Men of War, 1C Company as the developer of this game have also cast some ekspansion pack for their strategy games, such as Red Tide, Assault Squad, and until recently the latest ekspansion entitled Men of War in Vietnam. Yup this time will berseting war on Vietnam war Ditahun 1968.

Gameplay
Men of War 2 campaign to present Vietnam from two different sides, ie from the American troops and Viet Cong fighters with each campaign is divided into 5 mission in which each mission there are several objectives that must be resolved. Although only 5 missions, but to complete a mission could take about 3 to 4 hours or even more than that. Arguably this strategy game is quite difficult and frustrating, is not suitable for novice players and players who are not impatient. In Campaign mode also has a cooperative feature up to 4 other players so it is more exciting time to coordinate tactics with other players in completing the mission. Speaking of missions in this game revolves around the rescue pilot, evacuating the reporters, protect convoys, to sneak into the enemy headquarters. Unfortunately the missions in the game Men of War Vietnam does not vary much with the game Men of War before.

Gameplay of this game is also not much different from previous games, where the game is not like other Real Time Strategy game that must recruit resources to build the headquarters and then make as many troops to invade the enemy. In this strategy game, we are given a group of infantry sometimes also included several vehicles of war. When one of the main unit of the dead then we must still complete the mission with only modest power unit. But on the next mission, infantry dead will come back up again.

With the camera view from the top down or the so-called Bird's Eye view, we can easily see the surrounding environment to implement the tactics and strategies in solving a variety of a given objective. Not only set the strategy and tactics of fighting alone, Digame there are also elements of RPG, where we could have one of the main control unit of infantry course of several existing units as well as directly targeting the targets to be determined. Quite an innovative feature that is called the Direct-Control mode. Then we can also set the weapons to be used and inventory to be carried by each infantry.

We can also prepare the way they fight, setting them to lie down, squat, until a run. We can also adjust the position they were hiding with the refuge system is addictive, just by placing the mouse pointer on the side of the object will bring up some of the best position to hide behind the object is executed in order to live our infantry moved into position. We can also take a peek and weaponry, ammunition, and medkit's an enemy that had killed only by using the buttons shortkey or fast action. Overall in this sequel there is no significant improvement, there are only additional new weapons like the AK-47, M-14, RPG-2, and others. As well as several units of a new war, like a helicopter. Aside from these additions, this strategy game has the gameplay remains the same and just wrapped with the theme of war in Vietnam alone.

Graphic
Display graphics in this game is no change and more dominated by the color green as the environmental setting of the game that was Vietnam and the jungle feels real enough to the trees that move here and there because blown by the wind. This game also provides the facility to zoom in fairly close to our infantry units, but unfortunately the infantry models when viewed in the near future looks terrible condition, while for model vehicles and objects in the environment of war games look pretty good.
Throughout the game are also not accompanied by the music game but accompanied by background noise, such as leaf rubbing sound when blown by the wind and the sound of insects and birds chirping in the middle of forests.

Overall
Actually, this sequel focuses more on combat infantry guerrilla group rather than large-scale battles. This game gives you the freedom to apply tactics and strategies, cuman unfortunately there are still bugs that are found throughout the game and this is quite disturbing in completing missions and gameplay that runs slower that requires us to be patient when infantry move or crawl.
