Qualcomm Dual-Core Mobile Processor P4 2.5 Ghz and Achieve More Efficient Power

Qualcomm has been talking about a processor that will come of its designated S4Snapdragon mobile chip since they have not called S4We found information that this processor will be able to run at clock speeds up to 2.5 GHz and 8 will also support Windows and Android, Linux and other operating systems.

Now that Qualcomm has issued detailed detailHere are some of the basics:

  • Qualcomm chips will switch from 45nm to 28nm chip is more efficient with the S4.
  • The clock speed will range from 1.5 GHz to 2.5 GHz.
  • Krait new CPU uses dual channel memory and offer a performance boost of 1.6 timesthe CPU with the Qualcomm Scorpion electricity use 25 to 40 percent more efficient
  • S4 chips Qualcomm expects to use 25 to 40% less power than previous chipsand offers 60% better performance.
  • Core processors are not used to "collapse" to save power
  • Adreno Graphics 225 are expected to offer 50% better performance than current Adreno220 graphics.
  • Adreno 225 will support OpenGL ES 1.1 and 2.0 and DirectX 9.3.
  • The processor will support 2G, 3G, GSM, CDMA, EV-DOLTE and 4G mobile dataconnections throughout the world as well as WiFiBluetooth, and GPS.
We probably will not actually see a cell phone or tablet with the new S4 chips until early 2012, and Qualcomm's new chip will compete against the latest processors from NVIDIA,Texas Instruments, and others.
